Welcome to Marketing By Curria

Welcome to my corner of the Internet! It's been a long time coming for this site. Some people know that bycurria.com has morphed in many ways over the past year or so, from just an idea to now becoming the hub for my marketing business.

For those of you who may not know me, my name is Curria Johnson. I graduated from the University of Georgia (let's go ahead and get a 'Go Dawgs!' in for the one time, lol). In my time at UGA, I pursued a degree in Marketing and International Business. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in college, and wouldn't trade any of that-- the good or the bad-- for the world. College gave me the experiences that molded me in to the person I am today, and introduced me to some of the people that inspired me to take a leap of faith and start this venture.

Throughout my time at the University of Georgia and even prior, I always found myself interested in what I now know are the different aspects and areas of Marketing. From going into competition selling my senior t-shirt designs in high school, to creating strategies for event planning and programming in the many organizations that I was involved in on UGA's campus, to my first freelance gig as a social media manager for a salon that ultimately led to the idea of this business... I've always felt this creative pull to the marketing field, and I've always been motivated to educate and help others. Marketing by Curria is simply one avenue to begin to pursue all of those interests in one business, and build a platform to educate and assist other small business owners to level up in their own endeavors.

I am excited to be able to use this site not only to share information about my services to potential clients, but to also have the opportunity to create long-form content on topics related to marketing, business, and the occasional lifestyle blurb. You can only post so much in an Instagram caption or carousel, and you'll come to see that I have a LOT to say if you decide to stick around and subscribe to my email list. I always welcome feedback; so if there's something you're dying to hear my take on, just let me know in the comments below my posts or drop a line in my chat!
